Normally, we’d be posting a list of the Rockford area pools you can visit in the summer, but this year there have been some drastic changes. Most of the Stateline pools will not be opening this year. Which Pools are Closed for the Summer 2020 Season
Rockford Park District is not opening Sand Park Pool, Alpine Pool, or Hawkins Aquatic Center for the 2020 season.
The City of Janesville has closed Palmer Pool and Rockport Pool for the 2020 season. As of now, Lions Beach, Riverside Splashpad, and the Bubbler will not be opening either.
The City of Belvidere has closed William Grady Pool for the 2020 season.
Walt Williamson Pool in Rockton is closed for the summer.
Which Pools will Open for the Summer 2020 Season
The City of Beloit is opening Krueger Pool on July 9, 2020. Splash pads at Vernon Park and Summit Park will be open in mid-July.
Klehm’s Kids Creek in Klehm Arboretum is open daily from 9 am – 4 pm.
Hurricane Harbor (formerly Magic Waters) has plans to open with limited capacity, scheduled arrival times, and other safety measures in place. They have not announced their opening day yet.
Peak Sports Club will be opening their pools on June 26th to members. More details can be found here.
Which Indoor Pools are Open or Offering Swim Lessons
