Go Hunting for Kindness Rocks in the Stateline

Have you heard of kindness or art rocks? They are rocks that people paint with inspirational messages or artistic designs then hide around town for others to find. If you find one, you can keep it and replace it with a rock you’ve painted or rehide it. Searching for rocks is a fun, free activity you can do with your kids on a nice day!

Burpee Natural History Museum

Burpee Museum is home to the world’s most complete and best-preserved juvenile T. Rex. Her name is Jane! It’s awesome to have a piece of history right here in Rockford. Burpee also has a variety of natural history exhibits including animals, first people, and Sprouts, a children’s room full of interactive exhibits. Burpee is open daily and holds special events and donation days throughout the year.
