Stateline Kids is a community guide for kids events, activities and information in Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin. The site launched in July 2018 to help families make the most out of the resources and attractions in the Stateline area. We make parents’ lives easier by providing all the information they need to know before they go.

Want to play outside? Check out the Play section for profiles of playgrounds and parks throughout the Stateline. Our profiles include descriptions of the playground or park, a list of features, how much sun coverage it has and whether there are bathrooms and drinking fountains nearby.

Need something to do on a rainy day? Check out the Visit section for a list of the best indoor places for kids to explore and play.

Want to know what seasonal activities are happening now? Visit the Seasonal section for information on the best things to do in the Stateline no matter what time of year it is.

Need to know the best preschool, birthday party venue or summer camp for your kids? Check out our Guides section for thorough lists to help you make an informed decision.

Want to find out what events are happening today? Go to the Events calendar to see a comprehensive list of kids’ events in the Stateline area. We are constantly searching for and adding events to our calendar. Be sure to keep an eye out for Stateline Kids hosted events throughout the year!

Need help deciding what to do this week? Every Sunday we send out a list of the upcoming week’s BEST family-friendly events. Sign up for our mailing list and never miss another fun kids’ event again!

About the Mom-EO

Hi, I’m Erin! I’m a mom of two Stateline Kids who has lived in the area my whole life. I love this place and all of the wonderful things you can do here.

My background is in marketing and content creation. I’ve been a small business owner who offers writing, consulting, and speaking services since 2014.

I’m always looking for fun kids’ events and great places to explore and play. I’ve stumbled upon amazing playgrounds that were totally empty and attended awesome kids’ events where five people showed up. I grew up hearing that there’s nothing to do in the Stateline area, but I know that’s not true. There are always things to do, but it can be hard to find them.

As I looked online for events and activities for my kids, I wished there was one place I could go to find out everything I wanted to know before I left the house. I wanted to see pictures of places before I went, read descriptions of attractions and events, find out information about what I should bring, and research what lessons I should sign my kids up for.

I couldn’t find a place that did all of this so I decided to create that resource for the community I love.

The Stateline is a great place to raise kids. If you don’t think so yet, give me a chance to prove it to you. 🙂
