Camp Kids Spot is one of a kind! Not only do we have space for your child(ren) to run around, do crafts, play fun games and activities, but we have a weekly theme and daily activity. Every Monday will be “Training Day.” In between activities, crafts, and games, they will have a focus on ninja, cheer, dance, tumbling, or gymnastics. On Tuesdays, we will have a special visitor come to Kids Spot each week – for example, Bristle and Timber will be coming to do board designs with us, we’ll have a juggler, and insect education this year. This three-day camp is geared toward intermediate and advanced male volleyball players; female volleyball players are welcome to practice. Though players will work on passing, setting, hitting, and advanced offensive and defensive systems, they will need to SELECT an area of focus at time of registration (either Setter, Hitter, D.S./Libero, or Middle Blocker). Rockford University Head Coach Noah Salazar has put together a camp that is designed to challenge athletes while teaching them the more advanced systems of the sport. This is a great opportunity for local athletes who want to work on skill development through drills and game play in a competitive yet fun environment.

BCCD Summer Camps at Boone County Conservation District

Campers will explore the wonders of nature, go on hikes, listen to stories, sing songs, and do crafts. Camp Ducktails focus on getting the youngest explorers into nature. Camp Redwing includes field trips, science explorations, fishing, and arts and crafts. Camp Redtail is a three-week program. It includes a week of day camp practicing skills and team building. Then an adventure-based four-day camping trip that introduces minimum-impact camping and caving. We finish with a final week of day camp reminiscing about the trip and going on other local adventures.
