
Are you missing our local libraries? We are! Some local libraries are now offering a way to get some new books and trade out the ones you’ve had for two months!
Which libraries are participating in curbside pick-up?
Rockford Public Library
If you have a Rockford Public Library card, you can reserve materials online or call to place a hold on items. When the items are ready, the library will contact you with a pick-up time.
Items will be sanitized before you pick them up.

Here’s how the pick-up process works:
- You will be contacted by the library when your item is ready
- You will make an appointment to pick up your item
- You will go to the library, line up and wait at the door
- When it’s your turn, you will show your library card or State ID to the window
- You will back up six feet and items will be placed on a cart that will be pushed out to you
- You take your items and head home!
Returns
Rockford Public Library has drive-up and walk-up receptacles to return items at all of their locations. They quarantine the materials for a period of time then sanitize them before restocking. They sanitize a second time before lending the materials out to a new person.

Beloit Public Library
If you have a Beloit Public Library card, you can get curbside pick-up from 10 am – 2 pm Monday through Friday.
When: 10 am – 2 pm Monday through Friday by appointment only

You can place a hold through your account online, by email (pserve@beloitlibrary.org) or by phone (608-364-2905). If you place a hold by email include your name, card number, phone number and items you are requesting.
Here’s how the pick-up process works:
- Place your order. Please limit to 5 items per cardholder.
- Arrange a pick-up time between 10 am – 2 pm Monday through Friday.
- Pick up your order from the table where they will be bagged with your last name and first initial. Items not picked up will be returned to shelves.
Returns
Returns can be dropped off in the drive-up book drops from 10 am – 2 pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays only.
Ida Public Library
If you have an Ida Public Library card, you can reserve items to pick up in the parking lot. You can reserve up to 10 items. Search here to reserve your items or call the library Monday. Wednesday and Friday between 10 am – 4 pm at 815-544-3838.
Items will be sanitized before you pick them up.

- Library staff will contact you when your item is ready to schedule a pick-up.
- Bring your ID and library card to the lower level entrance at the pick-up time
- Pick up your books

Ida Public Library is accepting returns through their book drop.

Cherry Valley Library
If you have a Cherry Valley library card, you can reserve items to pick up in the parking lot. Reserve items that are currently on their shelves. Search here to reserve your items or call 815-332-5161 for help.
Items will be sanitized before you pick them up.

Here’s how the pick-up process works:
- Library staff will contact you when your item is ready to schedule a pick-up.
- Arrive at the library during the pick-up time and park in the marked spot along the side of the building.
- Text them when you arrive. Stay in your car.
- Library staff will put items in your trunk.
Returns
Cherry Valley Library has an outdoor book drop that is open. You can return items there. All due dates have been pushed back to June 26, 2020.

Talcott Free Library
We’ll add more information as it’s released about Talcott’s to-go service.

Monday – Friday: 10 am – 5 pm
Saturday: 10 am – 2 pm
Here’s how the pick-up process works:
- Library staff will contact you when your items are ready.
- Once you arrive, call to let them know which numbered spot you are parked in and pop your trunk.
- Staff will place your items in your trunk.

Please do not return items until Talcott is open.

North Suburban Library
If you have a North Suburban library card, you can reserve items to pick up in the parking lot. Reserve items that are currently on their shelves. Search here to reserve your items or call 815-623-6266 (Roscoe) or 815-633-4247 (Loves Park) for help.
