This year’s National Night Out events are happening on Tuesday, August 5th, 2025 and Wednesday, August 6th in the Stateline! National Night Out is a community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships typically held on the first Tuesday in August each year. These events are always free and family-friendly. It’s a good chance to get to know your local law enforcement and meet members of your community!

Tuesday, August 5th
Ogle County Sheriff at Byron Fire Department
123 N. Franklin St., Byron, IL
5 pm – 7 pm
There will be free food and activities including emergency vehicle displays, K9 demonstrations, water activities, bounce house and inflatable slide, and crafts.
Rochelle Police at Atwood Park
6300 20th St., Rochelle, IL
5 pm – 8 pm
There will be free food, fun activities, prizes, K-9 and taser demos, scavenger hunt, local business information, and live performances.
Winnebago County Sheriff in Machesney Park at Harlem High School
1 Huskie Cir., Machesney Park, IL
5 pm – 7 pm
There will be a free block party with hot dogs, chips and drinks, police and fire department vehicle displays, K9 demonstrations, giveaways and more.
South Beloit Police at American Legion
14879 Dorr Rd., South Beloit, IL
5 pm – 7:30 pm
South Beloit Police will be having free food, drinks, and prizes.
Cherry Valley Police at Baumann Park (218 S. Walnut, Cherry Valley)
5:30 pm – 8 pm
There will be a chance to win prizes and giveaways. Police equipment and fire apparatus will be on display. There will also be a kickball game.
Rockford Police at City Market Pavilion
E. State St. and Madison, Rockford, IL
5 pm – 8 pm
Rockford Police Department will have free food and fun, bike giveaways, and more. Bring a swimsuit for the splash pad.
Roscoe Police at Main Street in Roscoe
6 pm – 8 pm
There will be a block party on Main Street with demonstrations, a car show, music, giveaways, food, crafts and games, dunk tank, and photo ops.
Belvidere Police at Big Thunder Park
601 N. Main St., Belvidere, IL
5:30 pm – 7:30 pm
There will be yard games, the bookmobile, a fire hydrant party, bouncy house, K9 demo, hot dogs, face painting and more.
Woodstock Police at Woodstock Water Works
1313 Kishwaukee Valley Rd., Woodstock, IL
6:30 pm – 8:30 pm
There will be pizza, music, and use of the Water Works facility so bring your swimsuits.
Wednesday, August 6th
Beloit Police at Tefler Park (2101 Cranston Rd., Beloit, WI)
5 pm – 6 pm
There will be free food, demonstrations, police and fire equipment.
Janesville Police at Festival Street
69 S. River St., Janesville, WI
5 pm – 8 pm
Janesville police will have free food, live demonstrations, fun games and more.
