Nothing says summer like a county or state fair or festival. The rides, colorful lights, and fair food are enough to make anyone feel like a kid again. These upcoming events in Janesville, Rockton, Pecatonica, Belvidere and Oregon have everything you could want in a summer fair – live music, midway games, rides, food, magic shows and fun for the whole family. Old Settlers Days

150 E. Hawick St., Rockton, IL

June 13 – 16, 2024

Old Settlers Days is both a carnival and a big music festival typically featuring country music artists in downtown Rockton, Illinois.

Cost: $6 per person for admission / $10 at the door
Main stage concerts are an additional cost ranging from $20-25 per person
Rides cost 2-5 tickets each and tickets are $1 each.

Specials:

$25 carnival wristband for 5 pm – 9 pm for all ages and all rides on Thursday and Saturday

Entertainment:

Belvidere Heritage Days celebrates Belvidere with events including a parade, Paint on State, a 5K, live music, food cook-offs, a carnival, fireworks and many others activities.

ByronFest

Downtown Byron, Illinois

July 12 – 14, 2024

ByronFest offers family fun, a parade, a carnival midway, live music, food and more.

Cost: $8 per wristband in advance
$10 per wristband at the door
Free for kids 7 and under

No wristbands are required on Sunday, July 9th.

Specials: $60 for a weekend mega pass in advance

Rock County 4-H Fair

The Rock County 4-H fair has carnival games, rides, livestock judging, food, and live music.

Cost: $10 per adult (age 13 and up)
$5 per kid (age 7-12)
Free for kids under 6

Carnival Special – $30 for a carnival wristband and 1 general admission ticket
Tuesday, July 23: Two for One Tuesday (Two tickets for the price of one for all ages)
Adult Daily Four Pack – $35
