The magic of the Wizard of Oz is brought into balloon form this April in the Lake Geneva area! From April 11th – 21st, you can visit an amazing display of over 100,000 balloons at Pier 290 in Williams Bay, Wisconsin. The Balloon Adventure is held in the Boat Showroom at Pier 290, a large open space where the balloons take center stage.

This year’s theme is Wizard of Oz. You’ll see familiar characters made of balloons, adorable photo ops, and even the Emerald City. Expect to spend between 30 minutes to an hour checking out the display and taking photos. While you’re there, you can also get a drink, snack, or pick up some merchandise including tie-dyed shirts and branded cups. Kids can also participate in a scavenger hunt while they are there. The scavenger hunt is in a Google form so a smart device is needed to participate.

After you’re done walking through the event, you can grab a bite to eat a few feet away at Pier 290’s restaurant. The restaurant is offering some specials for visitors of the event including free kid’s meals and special menu items.

Several special events are happening during The Balloon Adventure’s stay at Pier 290. Here’s a list.

Adult Night – Wicked Night Out: $30/person. Experience an adults-only Balloon Adventure after dark on Friday, April 12th or 19th, with signature drinks and dinner at PIER 290 before or after (sold separately).

Ladies Night in Oz: $30/person. Calling all good and wicked witches! Join the fun on Wednesday, April 17th, for magical photo opportunities and 50% off drinks at the bar in the Balloon Adventure and PIER 290!

Moms & Munchkins: $20/adult, $10/child. Create lasting memories with your little ones on April 15th.

After School Munchkin Special: $20/adult, $14/child. Available on April 16th and 18th, this after-school special features a guest appearance and is perfect for families!

If you want to make a weekend of it, you can stay at Harbor Shores on Lake Geneva or Lake Geneva hotels. Timber Ridge Lodge, which recently renovated their waterpark and restaurant is also nearby.
