Even though we’ll be celebrating Easter at home this year, we can still have a special day! Here are some social distancing friendly ideas for celebrating Easter in the greater Rockford area!

Dye Easter Eggs at Home
Even if you didn’t get a chance to grab an Easter egg dyeing kit, you can still dye eggs with things you have around the house.
You can use beets, yellow onion skins, turmeric, coffee, purple cabbage and blueberries to dye your eggs! Get instructions on how to do it here.
Do an Egg Hunt in Your Yard or Throughout Your House
If you can’t decide what you want to add in your eggs, here’s a great list of 50 different things you can fill your Easter eggs with besides candy!
Another fun option is doing a nighttime egg hunt with flameless candles or small glowsticks inside of plastic eggs.
You can also do a traditional egg hunt throughout your home. You could create a list of clues for your kids to find the eggs or have special eggs with money or a toy in them.
Don’t forget to participate in the Great 815 Easter Egg Hunt. Check out our map and walk around your neighborhood to find eggs in windows and doors!
Do an Easter Craft
