Big Hill Park in Beloit, WI is a beautiful 190 acre park overlooking the bluffs of the Rock River. The park is home to two playgrounds and Welty Environmental Center which often hosts nature themed kids’ events. Both playgrounds are nature themed. The lower level playground has several bridges including a bouncing rubber bridge, faux rocks to climb on, two slides, and a swing set. The equipment is in great condition and the surrounding views are beautiful. If you want to take your kids out to explore nature and let them run out their energy at a playground, Big Hill Park is the perfect place to go. Make sure to stop by the upper-level playground while you’re there and check out the view from the bluffs.
If you go, you may want to bring:
- Packed lunch – There’s a pavilion with picnic tables nearby
- Bug spray – There are a lot of mosquitos throughout the park
