Big Hill Park in Beloit, WI is a beautiful 190 acre park overlooking the bluffs of the Rock River. The park is home to two playgrounds and Welty Environmental Center which often hosts nature themed kids’ events. Both playgrounds are nature themed. The upper level playground is a large three-story play structure with several climbing features, two tunnels to climb through, three slides, several climbing features, and a swing set. The park is almost entirely shaded by huge trees that make it feel cool on a hot day. If you go to Big Hill Park, make sure to stop at the lower level playground and check out the gorgeous view of the river from the bluff viewing area.

  • Packed lunch – There’s a pavilion with picnic tables nearby
  • Bug spray – There are a lot of mosquitos throughout the park
