What makes it special or worth visiting?
Mariposa Park is located in a quiet neighborhood in Rockford. The playground has a small play structure with stairs entrance and two bridge entrances – one climbing bridge and one bouncing bridge. The playground also has a rocking horse ride-on, two person see-saw, swings including a special needs swings, and a unique four person bouncing spring feature that we haven’t seen on any other playgrounds. There are also basketball hoops with nets, a soccer field, and tennis courts as well as a large grassy area.
If you go, you may want to bring:
- Sunscreen and hats – The playground is in full sun
