Hononegah Forest Preserve is a large nature preserve with many mature trees. The playground is deep in the preserve and is surrounded by trees, wildflowers, prairie grasses, and a large field. The playground has two play structures and a small swing set. The structures would be great for kids ages 4 and up. There are several imaginative play features like steering wheels, periscopes, and a play counter beneath the play structure. There are three slides and a spinning pole as well as Hurricane spinner monkey bars. This playground is peaceful and surrounded by beautiful views of nature.
