
Everyone’s a little bit Irish on St. Patrick’s Day! Here are some fun family friendly events happening the Stateline area for the holiday and some adults only stuff if you want to get a sitter and head out.
Parades and Festivals
2019 St. Patrick’s Day Parade and PaddyFest
Where: Prairie Street Brewhouse and Downtown Rockford
200 Prairie Street, Rockford, IL
When: March 16, 2019
Parade starts at 3 pm
Paddyfest starts at 4 pm
Cost: Parade is free
Paddyfest is $10 for adults, free for kids 14 and under
Come watch the Irish Marching Society in a parade throughout downtown Rockford. The parade kicks off at 3 pm at 7th Street and move East State to Madison Street. The parade will include floats and fleets from local businesses, law enforcement, Clans, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and more.
After the parade, head back to the Brewhouse for Paddyfest. There will be a menu of traditional Irish food and drinks and live music including bagpipes, of course! Get your Paddyfest tickets here.

All Things St. Patrick’s
Where: Welty Environmental Center

2:30 pm – 4:00 pm
Cost: $5 suggested donation
Learn about rainbows, search for a leprechaun’s lost gold, make St. Patrick’s Day cookies, play games, and make a leprechaun home. All ages welcome. Register online here.

There will be awesome Irish food including corned beef and cabbage, bangers and mash, and braised lamb shank.
Adults Only Events
Bar Crawl at RBI (and more)
3870 N. Perryville Rd., Rockford
March 16 from 7 pm – 2 am
Free pub crawl from RBI, Onyx, District, and Stockyard Rock. The bus starts at 9 pm and run until 2 am. There will be green beer, photo ops, and free safe rides all night.
Beer Brunch at Clara Bo and Gatsby Wine Bar (1901 Liberty Ave, Beloit)
March 17 from 11:30 am – 2:30 pm
There will be Bloody Marys, a five course brunch, and seasonal dark beer. Call 608=207-9842 to reserve your spot. Event is $60 per person.
