Turtle Island in Beloit, Wisconsin underwent a major renovation in 2025!
Turtle Island Playground is great for children aged two through twelve. There are several different play areas where kids can explore and imagine: climbing log, lookout tower with multiple slides, toddler playground, and a shallow man-made creek. There are also spinning cups, a spinning climbing tower, and web swing. The renovations in 2025 have made more of the playground accessible with rubber flooring. Turtle Island Playground offers hours of fun for kids of all ages.

Turtle Island Playground is a magical place for kids of all ages. The playground has views of the river and a lagoon where you can rent paddle boats. The water feature is great for younger kids while older ones will enjoy all of the climbing structures and imaginative play possibilities.
If you go, you may want to bring:
- Sunscreen and hats – Most of the playground is in direct sun
- Swimsuits
- Towels
- Change of clothes
- A packed lunch – There are picnic tables in the playground and a pavilion nearby
Note: Paddle boats and kayaks are available to rent on Monday through Friday in the summer. Concessions are also available to purchase, including drinks, food, and ice cream, in the lower level of the Harry C. Moore Pavilion.
