Wondering what to do with your Jack o’ Lantern after Halloween? There are a few fun events happening in the Rockford area to help you dispose of your pumpkins. Gather up your pumpkins and get ready for some fun!
Pumpkin Smash at Byron Fire Tower
Where: 123 N. Franklin St., Byron, IL
When: Friday, November 1, 2024 from 4 – 6 pm
Cost: Free
Bring your pumpkins and throw them off the fire tower to try to hit the bullseye. There will be cookies and cider served.
Smashing Pumpkins at Discovery Center Museum
Where: Discovery Center Museum
711 N Main St, Rockford, IL
When: Sunday, November 3 from 1 pm – 3 pm
Cost: Free for members, $10 per admission for people 1 and older
Watch as your pumpkin is launched through the air using a giant trebuchet. There will also be fall-themed activities. Included with Discovery Center admission. Please bring only one pumpkin per child.
