The Big Balloon Build is coming to Lake Geneva for the first time ever! From March 24th – 26th, you can visit the impressive display made from over 100,000 balloons at The Covenant Harbor in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. The Big Balloon Build invites balloon artists to work as a team and construct a giant display made entirely of balloons. This year’s theme is the Great Outdoors. If you go, you can expect to see balloon trees, flowers, animals, and more!
If you want to make a vacation out of it, you can purchase a hotel stay and Big Balloon Build package. This package gives you two nights at Timber RIdge Lodge in Lake Geneva, four tickets for the Big Balloon Build, a $30 dining credit at Timber Ridge Lodge, a $10 arcade credit, and a do-it-yourself balloon animal kit. There are a few additional opportunities to see the Big Balloon Build in person. This family-fun event is happening right around Easter and the Big Balloon Build has found a way to get the Easter Bunny in on the fun! On Saturday, March 25th and Sunday, March 26th from 8 am – 1 pm, families can purchase tickets to enjoy a pancake breakfast before walking through the balloon display and meeting up with the Easter Bunny in his burrow for a photo opportunity. This event is $30 per person, free for kids ages 1 and under. You can buy tickets here.
You can also buy a ticket to see the balloons in the afternoon on Saturday, March 25th from 2 pm – 8 pm and Sunday, March 26th from 2 pm – 5 pm. Time slots are offered hourly throughout the event. Organizers are asking for donations of two nonperishable items per guest to fill a Kunes RV that will benefit people in need in the community. The donations will go to Chapel on the Hill – Parish Hall and Walworth County Food and Diaper Bank. The afternoon event is $20 per person, free for kids ages 1 and under. You can buy tickets here.
There’s also an adults-only event on Friday, March 24th called a Night of In Tents Laughter. This event features comedian Kerri Pomarolli and includes an appetizer and dessert reception, and access to the magical balloon experience. Tickets for this event are $100 per person and can be purchased here.
