It’s going to be a hot summer! Thankfully, the stateline area has a variety of great public pools to help you and your kids stay cool and have fun. Travel around the stateline area and check out these pools in Beloit, Rockford, Rockton, Belvidere, Woodstock, and Janesville. Don’t forget your towel!

Kruger Pool – Beloit

Krueger Pool in Beloit, Wisconsin offers a large family pool with waterfall mushroom feature, diving board, slide, and sprayground with giant squirt guns.

Open: Krueger Pool has had staffing issues this summer and has only been open for limited hours. You can view the current week’s hours here.

Cost: $5 / 6.50 per adult
$3 / $4.50 per kid ages 5-17
Free for kids 4 and under (with adult)
$10 / $11.50 for a family of four


Walt Williamson Pool – Rockton

Walt Williamson Pool, also known as Rockton Pool, in Rockton, Illinois features a large family pool and wading pool.

Open: May 28 – August 24, 2022

Hours: Monday – Friday (June 6 – August 5)
1 pm – 6 pm

Saturday and Sunday (May 27 – August 21)
11 am – 6 pm

Saturday and Sunday
11:00 am – 2:15 pm
2:30 pm – 5:45 pm

Cost: $7 per person for all ages
Non-swimming infants are free

Swim lessons are offered at an additional cost.


Alpine Park Pool – Rockford

Alpine Park Pool in Rockford, Illinois features an “L” shaped with a 3-foot shallow end and 12-foot deep end, a diving board and two slides, and wading pool.

Open: June 18 – August 14, 2022
*Alpine Pool closed early on August 14, 2022 due to staffing issues.

Hours: Daily from 1 pm – 6 pm

Cost: $9 per person
$6 per child 2 and under
$7 per person for group rates (minimum of 15 people with 24 hour notice)


Harkins Aquatic Center – Rockford

Harkins Aquatic Center in Rockford, Illinois features a large four-foot deep leisure pool, waterslide, and children’s spray pool. There are all concessions on site. Coolers are allowed!

Open: June 18 – August 21, 2022

Hours: 12 pm – 5 pm

Cost: Free

Specials: Free swim lessons Monday through Thursday at 4:15 pm


Sand Park Pool – Loves Park

Sand Park Pool in Loves Park is back open after two years of being closed. It is a large L shaped pool with depths from 3 – 12 feet, diving boards, two slides, and a family play area including a water slide, water playground, and wading pool. Coolers are allowed.

Open: June 11 – August 21, 2022

Hours: 1 pm – 6 pm

Cost: $9 per person
$6 per child 2 and under
$7 per person for group rates (minimum of 15 people with 24 hour notice)


Rockport Pool – Janesville

Rockport Pool in Janesville, Wisconsin features a 50M pool, diving boards, and wading pool.

Open: June 11 – August 21, 2022

Hours: Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 12:30 pm – 7 pm
Tuesday & Thursday: 12:30 pm – 5 pm
Saturday & Sunday: 12 pm – 7 pm

Cost: $4 per adult
$3 per kid ages 3-17
Free for kids under 3


Woodstock Water Works
1313 Kishwaukee Valley Road, Woodstock, IL

Woodstock Water Works has a zero depth pool, double slide (must be 48″ to ride), water mushroom, dump bucket, kids play area, a baby pool, and more.

Open: May 28 – August 14, 2022

Hours: Daily from 1 pm – 6 pm

Cost: $8 / $10 per adult
$6 / $8 per child ages 4-17
Free for kids under 3
