The Rockford Park District has a fun contest this winter! Kids can pick up a Rocky the Snowman kit and build their own Rocky at home. This contest is brought to you by the Rockford Park District and Collins Aerospace. Collins Aerospace is providing more than 2,000 Rocky the Snowman kits for the community.
The Rocky the Snowman kits include:
- Buttons for eyes
- Black Solo Cup for a nose
- Blue scarf
- Blue Kool-Aid and spray bottle so you can make his paw print
- Instructions on what to do
You can pick up a FREE kit from the following locations:
- Carlson Ice Arena (4150 N. Perryville Rd., Loves Park)
- Mercyhealth Sportscore Two (8800 E. Riverside Blvd., Loves Park)
- UW Health Sports Factory (305 S. Madison St., Rockford)
Once you pick up your kit, you can build your Rocky the Snowman. The most creative Rocky will win a gift basket full of goodies from the Rockford Park District. Anyone who submits a photo will be entered into a contest to win 4 tickets to Snow Park at Alpine Hills.
