Downtown Rockford will be getting a little more colorful during the first ever CRE8IV: transformational ART festival happening May 15-19, 2019. Over five days, eight new murals will be painted throughout the city and fun celebrations will happen each day. This is an awesome chance to see art being created and our city being beautified.

The murals will be on seven buildings and the Jefferson Street bridge. You can learn more about the mural artists here.

There are a bunch of fun activities for families to do during this festival! Families can watch the murals being painted and participate in free block parties at each location.

Don’t miss Thursday or Saturday’s family fun events! On Thursday, there will be Family Fest which includes characters from Once Upon a Dream, dancing, a bubble DJ, food and music. On Saturday, there will be a downtown trolley art tour, live music, tattoo demonstrations, magician, live painting, food vendors and fire pits. The night ends with fireworks!
