
Winter can get long in the Stateline area, but don’t worry, there are plenty of fun things to do! Beloit’s Winterfest is is a family-friendly weekend of outdoor and indoor winter fun!
Winterfest runs Friday, January 25 – Sunday, January 27, 2019. This year, there will be indoor and outdoor activities happening throughout Beloit and South Beloit. These events include movie showings, ice skating, luminary walks, nature hikes, and more. Most Winterfest events are free or low-cost.
Here’s a list of the events at Winterfest 2019!
Please note: Due to the forecast of extreme cold, City of Beloit Parks and Recreation Department has canceled the following events: Friday’s Luminary Walk. Saturday’s Walk at the Confluence, Sunday’s Horse Drawn Sleigh Rides and Welty’s Candle Dipping.
Friday, January 25
Bingo at Grinnell Hall

When: 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Cost: Free
Celebrate Winterfest with bingo, prizes, snacks and fun!
Luminary Riverside Walk at Riverside Lagoon – CANCELED
1160 Riverside Drive
When: Begins at 6:00 pm
Cost: Free
Enjoy an illuminated evening stroll with friends and family around the lagoon walking path. The path will be illuminated throughout the evening.
Free Family Movie at Rotary River Center

When: 6:30 pm
Cost: Free
Watch Christopher Robin with your family. Bring a blanket, snacks, and your family teddy bear. There will be free hot chocolate.

Open Skate with DJ at Edwards Ice Arena

When: 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Cost: $5/kids 17 years old and under, $6/adult, $17/family of 4
Skates – $3 per person
Skate while listening to music from a DJ. Free skate rental with non-perishable food donation item.
Saturday, January 26
Winterfest Fun at Beloit Public Library
605 Eclipse Blvd.
When: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
Cost: Free
Participate in fun crafts and other winter activities. Kids of all ages are welcome.
Family Gymnastics at Stateline Family YMCA Gymnastics Center
1239 Huebbe Pkwy
When: 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm
Cost: $10 per family for members, $20 per family for non-members
Balance on the high beam, climb a rope, jump in the above ground pit. All this and more as your family explores the possibilities.

Winter Walk About at The Confluence – CANCELED
306 Dickop, South Beloit
When: 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Cost: Free
Come explore the Confluence during our Winter Walk About during Beloit’s Winterfest! Do a Walk About with our Naturalist to see what critters are active during the winter at the confluence. Enjoy free S’mores and warm yourself at our big fire as the sun sets on a beautiful winter day! Make a paper snowflake to decorate our walls this winter! Free drop-in program – come and go at any time! No registration required.
