Fungi Foray

Join us at the Lodge for a Fungi Foray in the wonderful world of mushrooms. Explore, experiment and enjoy learning how to grow, identify and use these unique organisms.
Saturday, May 11th. 12-4pm, $40/person, Adults & kids 12 and older.

Educator and Farmer Allyson Rosemore will demonstrate how to inoculate logs with shiitake mushrooms from spore. Participants will also enjoy a foraging hike with Educator Randy Mermel over our 70 acres of wooded trails along Kinnikinnick Creek. Be sure to work up an appetite, because back at the Lodge, Chef Andy Skupien will be leading the group in a culinary experiment with mushrooms, vegetables, and herbs to make a foraged cream of mushroom soup.
A large portion of our workshop will be held outdoors so please come dressed for the weather. Hiking boots recommended.
