Explore the natural building medium of cob with On Farm Educators Randy Mermel will cover the history, uses, and techniques of this ancient, natural-building medium. A mixture of sand, straw and clay, cob is especially well-suited for hand-sculpting earth-friendly structures, from buildings to benches. You can get really creative with cob! This class is a great introduction to our hands-on workshop creating a cob oven, held later in the season. The 3 hours hands on workshop will be followed by a trip to our Main Farm Campus across the road to enjoy a wood fire pizza with vegetables and herbs sourced from our farm.
