The 39th BookQuest program kicks off with a celebration in honor of longtime BPL staff member and community advocate, Judy Adams, who spent her life connecting children with the magic of reading. The party goes from 12 pm – 3 pm in the BPL parking lot and will include live music by Gary Adams, a presentation by national author John Coy, a reveal of the 2021-2022 BookQuest book list, refreshments, activities for kids, a book giveaway, and tours of the library’s new spaces. This event is completely FREE to attend!

BookQuest is an annual reading program for 4th and 5th graders that ends with a friendly battle of the books style competition from teams from area schools.

Featured speaker John Coy has been compared to Mr. Rogers, and travels around the country presenting to schools. The first 50 families that attend can receive a FREE copy of his book My Mighty Journey: A Waterfall’s Story.
