Financial Literacy Month
April is Financial Literacy Month for Children! It’s a nationally designated month dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of financial planning for the future. Teaching kids about finances can help them be better prepared to manage their money as adults.
We’ll be chatting with our friends from Rock Valley Credit Union about Children’s Financial Literacy Month again this year!
You can check out last year’s interview here.
Earth Day
Earth Day is Saturday, April 22nd! Earth Day gives us a chance to celebrate our Earth and learn how to protect it. Spend the day hiking, biking, or walking a trail in the Stateline or visit one of the area’s beautiful gardens.
We’ve put together some ideas for Earth Day. There are nature events, indoor events, outdoor events, and even some events that feature animals! Check out the list here.
Get Outside and Enjoy a Playground
Burn off that indoor energy at one of our local playgrounds! Early in the Spring, parks can be a muddy mess, but we’ve put together a list of the astroturf playgrounds in the Stateline so your kids can have fun and keep their shoes and clothes clean.
