There’s a lot happening in the Stateline area for Easter this year! Since Easter falls on April 21st, there are events throughout the entire month of April. If you’re looking for some Easter family fun, look no further!
Easter Bunny Visits and Photos
Take the kids to get their picture taken with the Easter bunny! There a few options for pictures with the Easter Bunny happening in the Stateline.
Easter Bunny at CherryVale Mall
7200 Harrison Ave., Rockford, IL
The Easter Bunny will be at CherryVale Mall from March 30 – April 20.
Hours: Monday – Saturday from 10 am – 9 pm
Sunday from 11 am – 6 pm.
Visiting the Easter Bunny is free, but personal photos are not allowed. If you’d like a photo with the Easter Bunny, you can buy a photo package starting at $25. If you don’t want to wait in line, you can schedule your photo here.
CherryVale Mall Easter Bunny Events:
- Pet Nights: 6 pm – 9 pm on Monday, April 1, 8, and 15. *All pets must be on a leash or in a carrier.
- Easter Bunny Cares: 9 am – 11 am on Sunday, April 7. This is a special sensory friendly event for children with special needs. Please RSVP here.
- Bunny Hop: 12 pm – 2 pm on Sunday, April 7 in Center Court. We will have music, dancing, games, face-painting, and a meet & greet with our favorite princesses!
Easter Bunny Photo Days at PetSmart

The bunny will be hopping in to 6380 E. Riverside Beef a Roo and the 6593 Lexus Drive to pose for take pictures and hand out free Easter treats!

Sponsored by “Once Upon a Dream Performances”, the Easter bunny will be available to take pictures with children and adults alike inside the market. Pictures are only $5 per person and include free face painting too by Rosebud the fairy!

If you want to take the kids to a family-friendly Easter event, look no further! Here are a bunch of fun events happening in the Stateline this April.
Egg-cessorizing at the Discovery Center
711 N. Main St., Rockford, IL
When: April 19 from 11 am – 3:30 pm
Cost: $1 per child (member), $2 per child (public). Admission to the museum not included.
Boil up some eggs, grab the kids and the creativity, and hop on over to Discover Center! We supply dye, stickers, and other colorful stuff for egg-ceptionally beautiful Easter eggs from ninja turtles to unicorns, and stained glass windows to watercolor masterpieces. Bring your own eggs, and leave the clean up to us! No registration, just drop in when you are ready. Recommended for ages 4 and up. One adult required for every two children.
Easter Party at Boone County Museum of History

Join us for a free Easter Party for the community! We will have the Easter Bunny ready for pictures with the little ones, a take home craft, super fun games, comfort dogs from Lutheran Christian Charities and baby chicks from Boone County 4Hs’ U of I Extension Program. Join the Downtown Beloit Association for our annual Easter Eggstravaganza! Bring children to Gantry Park (corner of State & Grand next to Bushel & Peck’s) to the Fun Zone games, mascots, face painting, balloon animals & more!
