Burpee Museum will celebrate cultural diversity with traditions, decorations, and dances from around the world. Use your passport to visit the different cultures, make lots of crafts, and welcome the New Year. View traditional artifacts used in celebrations and discover animals from the far reaches of the world. These animals and artifacts are from Burpee Museum’s Permanent Collection and are seldom seen. Learn of New Year’s traditions from Rockford’s Sister Cities plus numerous other local ethnic groups, who will have displays of the geography and culture of their countries.
