DESCRIPTION:The Cherry Valley Public Library is transforming into a miniature golf course on Sat.\, Feb. 23 and Sun.\, Feb. 24 for their seventh annual “Mini-Golf in the Library and Silent Auction” fundraiser. \nFor $5.00 each\, young and old alike can test out their putting skills on the nine holes arranged throughout the aisles and bookshelves in the library. Ages three and under are free with a paying adult! Tee times are available on Sat. from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and on Sun. from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. To reserve your tee time\, call the library at 815-332-5161. Everyone is welcome…no library card is needed! \nRefreshments will be available for purchase on both days and over 100 Silent Auction items will be displayed for bids until 4:00 pm on Sunday. If mini-golf isn’t your thing\, then come for lunch or a snack and stay to browse and bid on the silent auction goodies. On Saturday\, there will be Salamone’s pizza by the slice and Cold Stone Creamery on both days in addition to other snacks. \nItems up for auction include baskets with gift certificates from local restaurants and businesses\, tickets to a variety of entertainment venues\, and some beautiful handcrafted items. Proceeds will go toward a building expansion which will include a youth services program room and drive-up book return.
