LEGO has made its way to Rockford in a fantastic limited-time exhibit at Klehm Arboretum and Botanic Garden.

Sean Kenney’s Nature Connects exhibit has been traveling the country and is in Rockford from June 11 to September 11, 2022. The exhibit includes 15 nature-themed sculptures made entirely of LEGO. Sculptures include a duck family, giant lily, snake, mouse, and even a fox hunting rabbit photo opportunity.

When you arrive at Klehm, be sure to stop by the Visitors Center to pick up a map and take a look at the LEGO orchid on display.

The sculptures are along the garden’s main walkway in a mile-long loop. You can spend anywhere from 30 minutes to several hours walking around and checking out the sculptures. There are several bathrooms conveniently located on the path.

Each sculpture has an information card that tells you how long it took to build the sculpture and how many LEGO were used to create it.

If you visit Klehm to see the Nature Connect exhibit, don’t forget to bring your swimsuits and make a stop in the Nancy Olson Children’s Garden. The children’s garden has fun statues, an ABC garden, and two water features. The Kids’ Creek and splash pad are a great way to cool down after a walk around the gardens.
