Ghost Tours and Ghost Hunts

Paranormal Tour with Amelia Cotter at Tinker Swiss Cottage
411 Kent St., Rockford, IL

When: October 4, 2019 from 7 – 10 pm

Join us for scintillating tales from paranormal experts, listen to audio clips found in the Tinker Cottage, and enjoy a tour with the chance to have your own paranormal encounter. You are welcome and encouraged to bring your own equipment (cameras, camcorders, audio recorders, emf). Each event begins in the Barn.


Paranormal Tour with The Dan Norwell Project at Tinker Swiss Cottage

Belvidere Haunted Houses Tour
314 S. State St., Belvidere, IL

When: October 12, 2019 from 5 – 9:30 pm

Haunted Rockford is honored to be a part of this special event!  We will be visiting three historical locations in Belvidere. All of these sites have reported ghostly encounters and paranormal happenings.  The history of these fascinating locations will be shared by the owners and Kathi Kresol. Sara Bowker will join us to share her impressions of who might linger in the halls.  We will also have experienced paranormal investigators along who will share their equipment to help capture evidence.

The exciting evening begins and ends at the Boone County Museum of History.  Guests will be sorted into smaller groups and given directions for their tour.  The guests will travel on their own to each location. The history of the houses and the ghostly encounters will be shared at each location. Then guests will join in a  mini-investigation led by the different paranormal investigative teams. Guests may bring their own equipment or share the investigator’s. Guests will visit all three locations before returning to the museum for a discussion on the findings.

Different heavy appetizers and drinks will be available at each location.  A cash bar at each location and catered by Coach’s Corner will offer liquid “spirits”.

This event will include members of the Ghost Research Society , Ghost Head Soup and the Midwest Ghost Investigators.

True Tales of Things That Go Bump in the Night at Tinker Swiss Cottage

Celebrate Halloween with Tinker Swiss Cottage and Haunted Rockford!  Local authors Terri Reid and Kathi Kresol will be joining us for this special evening of spine-tingling and bone-chilling stories!

Terri Reid, best-selling author of the Mary O’Reilly paranormal series and Kathi Kresol, founder of Haunted Rockford Paranormal Events will share their favorite tales of their own paranormal encounters and other local legends.  After the presentation, Samantha Hochmann, Executive Director of Tinker Swiss Cottage share the history of this unique home and a tour will be included in the admission price.

Ghost Hunting: Equipment, Techniques and Evidence at Talcott Free Library

Local author, historian, and founder of Haunted Rockford Paranormal Events, Kathi Kresol, will share her favorite stories of lost loves, spine tingling encounters with ghostly apparitions and unexplained bumps in the night. Kresol has spent countless hours researching and tracking down the legends and ghost stories of Illinois.  She weaves historical research with actual personal accounts of the hauntings into her stories of the weird and unusual happenings in Forest City.
