What makes it special or worth visiting?
Sinnissippi Park has two awesome, recently updated playgrounds. There is a toddler size playground and this playground for grade school kids near the Ethel Street entrance. Both playgrounds have new, brightly colored unique equipment. This playground has a ball that rocks and spins, a metal pogo pole, a steep double slide, and an obstacle course with monkey bars, balancing steps, and a balancing ball. The playground is shaded and there are two benches in view of the playground.
If you go, you may want to bring:
- Bug spray – There can be mosquitos and ticks
- Sunscreen – Some parts of the play structure get direct sunlight
- Bean bags – There are permanent cornhole boards next to the Twin Shelters
- A packed lunch or stuff to grill – There are lots of picnic tables and several charcoal grills (bring your own supplies)
